About Storefront Graphic Shades: Our Story

Jerry Chase is a long time veteran of the Home Décor industry with over 30 years of experience with sales and management, as well as the ownership side of the business.

After successfully turning a small wallpaper and paint store into a multi-location regional company, Jerry decided to open his own Home Décor furnishing store in 1979. For over 13 years, the Decorating Products Store provided flooring, paint, wall coverings, and window treatments for homes and businesses throughout the Kennebec valley and beyond.

In 1991, Jerry established Blind Time as a “shop at home” window treatment company. It sold and installed of all types of window shades, blinds, shutters, and draperies throughout Maine. Always busy, Jerry also worked as a manufacturer’s representative for Mohawk Industries (among others) while continuing to grow Blind Time.

Jerry decided to devote all of his energy to Blind Time in 2006 and expanded the business to include commercial contract work as well as retail. Blind Time continues to serve both residential and commercial customers today.

However, he soon noticed a pattern in orders at Blind Time for custom graphic shades that inspired him. So, to fulfill his customers’ needs, in 2014 Jerry launched StoreFront Graphic Shades to provide a “one stop shop” for businesses seeking to cultivate their storefront identity and expand their advertising options. With the launch of its website in late 2015, StoreFront Graphic Shades has been able to provide graphic shades to clients all over the USA.

StoreFront Graphic Shades is proud to be a Veteran-owned family business. Jerry and his wife Anne Marie make their home in Farmingdale, Maine. They also have two children and four grandchildren who assist in the business from their homes in Portland, ME and Rome, GA.
