StoreFront Graphic Shades accepts measurements down to 1⁄8 of an inch, so it’s essential to be as exact as possible when noting your specifications. Please always round down to the nearest 1/8 of an inch.

Please use a metal tape measure for increased accuracy.

Inside Mount

Width

You will need to measure your window’s width inside the jamb where the brackets will be placed (width 1) Always round down to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. The fabricator will make the necessary deductions to fit the window opening. You should expect a small light gap at the sides of all inside mount shades.

Height

You should measure the height of the window from the underside of the soffit to the surface of the windowsill on both of the sides and the middle, choosing the smallest measurement.  Please submit the smallest measurement with your order.

Outside Mount

You will need to measure the exact width and length of the area to be covered. Measure the width at the exact point where the brackets will be installed. To eliminate light gaps on the sides, when measuring width, please allow at least 2½ inches or more of an overlap on each side.

Watch out for any obstructions such as window trim, molding, locks and window cranks, noting them in your measurements.

**If needed, we provide projection brackets which allow shades to be mounted up to 4 inches from the mounting surface, but we only recommend them for outside mounts. Please indicate your desire for projection mounts when ordering.

Quick Tips:

• The head rail must be installed evenly to ensure smooth operation. Please check to ensure that the mounting surfaces will be level and consistent.
• Custom Roller Shades are leveled and weighted in the factory. When installed properly, the fabric will not skew when raised. If the head rail is not installed level skewing can occur.

Keeping these fresh and neat is easy! All they need is some occasional feather dusting or light vacuuming with a soft bristle attachment. Most fabrics may also be ultrasonically cleaned.

Classic Duck window shade fabrics

These shades might require occasional vacuuming with a soft brush attachment or a spot clean with a mild soap. To remove a stain or spot, soak a sponge or damp cloth with a soapy solution and gently wipe or blot the stain from the fabric. To dry, allow the shade to air dry completely before raising.

E Screen 5% Open fabrics

E Screens are easily cleaned with sponge or a soft brush dipped into soapy water. Rinse with clean water. Do not scrub the screen, or use any solvents or abrasive substances which might damage the coating of the fabric. Leave the blind down completely to dry. Quick tip: rub the fabric very gently with a white pencil eraser to remove small stains.
